TOP Mogao Caves

A UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987 — 735 caves and 45,000 m² of murals. Entry is by timed ticket; pair it with our digital-restoration experience.

TOP Wei-Jin tomb murals

Brick paintings from the Wei-Jin tombs (3rd–5th c.) at Jiayuguan Xincheng — the courier brick is the emblem of China Post; the brand’s second cultural anchor beside Mogao.

Jiayuguan Great Wall (Fortress, Overhanging Wall, First Pier)

The fortress (1372) is the “First Mighty Pass Under Heaven”; the Overhanging Wall climbs the cliff to the First Pier above the Taolai gorge.

Mingsha and Crescent Lake

A crescent-shaped spring cradled by singing dunes just outside town — ride a camel to the ridge for sunset.

Zhangye Rainbow Danxia
